The Dark Knights

Life after dusk is on the increase with more people shifting their timeline to late hours. For these Night owls, day starts actively in the evening, hanging on perfectly alert and agile, only to hit the hay after dawn.

No wonder web streaming, gaming and chatting are at its peak in midnight.

The Twilight Troupers:

What's so fun in keeping awake when the entire world sleeps, when you have only vampires and werewolves for company and nobody knows what you're doing. Booyah! Game on! Its the time to have a blast. But remember to clear your trash, which are exploding with red bulls, leftovers and soda cans, the only witness to your crime scene ;)

In general, an evening person benefits from the quiet, undisturbed dark hours to stay put, break free from the outside life and immerse fully to perform challenging tasks. Although there's this cliched view, "Early bird picks the worm", with changing times, demanding jobs and flexible lifestyles, its okay if you skip to greet little miss sunshine :)

Pulling an All Nighter:
In the face of stiff competition and job insecurity, workers plunge to go for the 3rd shift earnestly and have adapted to the transition. Security guards, medical personnels, police officers are a few examples, working through the graveyard shift.

Studies reveal university and college students are burning the midnight oil for higher grades and turning to caffeine pills or drugs to up their academic grades. For a job in the witching hours, an early lark person must call it quits than get caught dozing off.

Supermarkets, fast food chains and cafes are also bustling round the clock; Its just more easier for a nocturnal guy to travel, shop and dine with no queues, crowds or traffic. Your phone is not ringing, internet speeds are high and so does your pay. You can maintain social circles and deepen your relations. So gearing up for a wild party, what more do you need than be the life of it?Rock on!

Alarms of the Bodyclock:
Our body clock is set to a circadian cycle by nature that determines our sleep patterns every day. Okay. I hear you;) I am no science person and truly medical jargons are eerie, giving me goosebumps. But every rose has its thorn, not to miss here too.

Late risers tend to be hungrier, more prone to binge eating causing obesity and addicted to caffeine and sugars to keep them high. Without proper rest, its common to get into a state of moodiness and sluggishness resulting in depression and anxiety. Long term effects can be diabetes, fertility issues, hypertension and sleeping disorders.

Listen to your body and when it signals you, dont hesitate and attend it instantly.

Sleepless Beauty:
The society is oriented towards morning people, with bright-eyes and bushy-tails, they steal the show. Howbeit night owls, entangled in a 9-5 job, with wearied looks, slumped in their desks and gulping espressos render them only a laggard image. Its not procrastination or lethargy; but a very natural choice of the mind and forcing a square peg into a round hole can only end in distress.

To keep up with the smooth run, a good amount of rest, proper sleep, hygiene and healthy habits are important. Opt for a career that fits in your schedule and nurture harmony with
relatives and friends. Feel comfortable in your own skin and shirk off worries.

Beware if you notice your desktop vanish or room in a swirl, its no spooks or zombies, just calmly settle down for a little shut-eye and let the dreams sing along soothingly, "Hush little baby, Don't say a word".

a decade ago, only 1 or 2 in 10 would be awake at night, that too by choice. For them (counts me) nights are very much underrated. But these days 8 out of 10 are night owls, but mostly by compulsion. Nights, now are nothing but catch up time. You don't get to see the beauty in that.
